New showroom in Italy
Nelson Mobilier recently moved the showroom in Italy to a brand new location, just 5 km from the previous site in Castiglione delle Stiviere. The new space is an industrial conversion with amazing daylight and sunsets.
At the entrance the previous factory folding doors have been replaced by a glass panel configuration which fills the space with natural light. The floors, heated, have been left in the original grey cement and the walls are painted either in a dark grey (RAL 7022) or cement grey (RAL7035) The combination of background colours allows the furniture to shine through and emphasises its role in designing any salon.
Upon entry the visitor is welcomed by the “Nelson wall” where the current collection of styling chairs, upholstered in bright velvet colours, sit up to 3 metres high. As the visitor continues into the 350m2 space they discover various combinations of colours, chairs and mirrors alongside areas dedicated to wash units as well as reception desks, reception seating or accessories such as footrests. The barber and beauty furniture solutions have their own dedicated spaces too.
No interior design project is complete without lighting and here designer Daniele Gilardi has chosen distinctive models to light the space and the furniture. Industrial style lamps hang from the ceiling and spotlights by Nexo Luce are fixed to the full length of one wall to highlight areas or furniture. In the “belly of the whale,” as the central area is affectionately known, Squadra Array and Cubo Array spotlights are used at the specially specified 3500° Kelvin to provide a balanced effect without a bias to warm or cold colours. The overall effect is a brightly lit space which combines daylight and electrical light in intimacy despite the high ceilings.
