History

1984


Nelson Mobilier is founded in Chassieu, closed to Lyon (France).

1986


The first  salon furniture collections are presented on the fair trade Cosmoprof, in Bologna (Italy) and on the Mondial Coiffure in Paris (France).

1989 - 1994


The company sets up a strong distribution network in France and develops several agreements with local franchises.

After few years, Nelson Mobilier becomes the French market leader for salon furniture.

1991


A design office is created and proposes 2D drawings and consultation for salon design to the hairdressers.


1995 – 2000


The reputation of Nelson Mobilier crosses the French borders and the company increases his presence in Southern Europe with distributors in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece.

With partnerships in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, UK, Scandinavia, the products are also offer for sale in Northern Europe. 

The French brand is therefore one of major manufacturer in Europe.

1999 - 2004


Nelson Mobilier engages in new partnerships in Eastern Europe, Nord Africa and South America.


The design office offers a modernized service with 3D Visuals.

2004


Some experienced architects and well-known salon designers join Nelson to refresh completly the ranges of salon furniture with a modern design.

The company knows a new expansion and asserts his renown among the hairdressers.

2005


The French showroom is extended : 500m² are now available for the hairdressers and the distributors from all Europe.


2006


Opening of a second showroom in Castiglione delle Stiviere, closed to Lake Garda (Italy)


2009


Nelson  Mobilier celebrates its 25 years and opens a sales office for Northern Europe in Cologne, Germany.

2011


Nelson signs an exclusive partnership for salon furniture with P&G Professional (WELLA / SP / LONDA) , for France, Belgium and Luxemburg.


2012


The French showroom is extented on 700 m²

Nelson is now exporting his salon furniture in more than 40 countries.


New collections, new catalogs and brochures,refitted showrooms... ; the French brand follows his winning strategy and keeps growing.
